PANNYAAAAAAAAAAAA~ |
Finally got around to watching episodes 5-8 of Mashiroiro Symphony today. First off, my Yuri goggles got broken by the powers of Uryuu the male protagonist >_< . Somehow he has managed to worm his way into the heart of the tsundere boy hater Sana and become a good friend to Miu as well. Of course our previous focus Sena has been totally shoved to the side and was only given minimal screen time after episode 5.
|
This actually leads to a pretty good scene with the two of them (Sena & Uryuu) back to back in the bath tub.
It is all sorts of adorable. |
Sena is my favorite character and so her lack of screen time in these three middle episodes bothers me, but I can't do anything about it except for watch her in the background getting irritated at the situation she finds her self in. Uryuu has been focusing his attention onto Miu, Sana, and the Kitty Club. In his attempt to save the Kitty Club from dissolution by the school, he inadvertently manages to convince all the other main females to join the club and now his harem has a new name! The Kitty Club! This Kitty Club rehabilitates injured animals and sets them free to the wild again, a very noble club for a school to have in my opinion. Much like the silly rule that caused all the girls to join the light music club in K-ON!, the Kitty Club needs a total of six members to exist officially.. and what do you know, our six main characters fit the bill and join to make the Kitty Club official!
|
Sena has negative animal handling skills. |
Anyways, Kitty club and cute animals aside, Uryuu becomes closer with both Miu and Sana to the point that rumors are started that Sana and Uryuu are dating. Which of course is pretty impossible since Sana hates all boys.. or does she? Sana seems to be hiding feelings beneath that unfriendly demeanor and even jealousy for Uryuu's attention toward Miu, her crush (as I'm interpreting it anyways). Now mix a bit of mostly off screen and sad Sena to the mix and we have a very nice little
love dodecahedron forming, mind you it is small considering others out there.

I um. Wow. Nice kick, also she has pink pantsu <3 |
Even though it still really is a
love triangle between Sena, Sana, and Uryuu; the other three characters have yet to let their feelings for Uryuu become apparent. I don't think an incest route with his sister will happen or that the maid will do anything besides call him master and act silly. There is still potential for Miu to join the romantic mess depending on how the next episodes go. It is worth noting that none of the characters have actually verbalized their feelings past saying that Uryuu makes them relaxed or happy. But of course this is from Japan, those words may as well mean they are madly in love with him.
|
YURI GOGGLES GO! |
We end these three episodes with Sena still being on the side, Sana seems to come to terms with her feelings towards Uryuu and that he is totally oblivious to them (mostly?). Miu ends the 8th episode by fainting into Uryuu's arms, as she has finally overworked herself for the sake of others. Something else.. two kittens have shown up responding the the names Shingo (Uryuu) and Miu. Perhaps this is foreshadowing for which girl Uryuu ends up with? I hope not because I want him to end up with Sena. If Uryuu gets with Sena, that means Miu and Sana can hook up and fix my Yuri vision for this show.

Boys are a bad mistake in anyones life. |
